THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH

5 October 2017

I can tell you for sure that this is one of the happiest places on earth! What am I talking about you ask? Florida!! In August me and my family went on a two week holiday to Florida and I just had the best time ever :) I am a big kid when it comes to anything Disney related so this trip was something I had been looking forward to ever since we booked it. As we wanted to fit EVERYTHING in, of course there was some planning involved before, and when I say some planning I mean ALOT!  Anywaaaaay on to the trip ....

On our first official day we went to Animal Kingdom. I would say the must do's here are: Kilimanjaro safari's, Kali River Rapids and Flight of Passage (located in Avatar's Pandora).

We visited Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

A Disney tip - if you're visiting all the theme parks make sure you spread them out and have some time in between to chill out in the pool at your hotel or the water-parks as it does get very very very tiring walking around the theme parks!!

Another Disney tip - make the use of fastpasses because they are lifesavers!! Who wants to be queuing for a ride for two hours when you can get a fast pass (if you plan advance) and just queue up for 15 mins? Not me, that's for sure. If you're good at planning this is where your skills come in play. If you roughly plan what days you're going to what parks then you can book fastpasses in advance and that will guarantee that you will get on the best rides.

What I loved about Epcot was the mixture of rides and exploring different countries and trying different cuisines. We did all the rides and everything to do with Epcot in about two days. Must do's for Epcot: Soaring (ride), visiting the different countries, the fireworks, meeting Anna and Elsa!, Relaunched! Mission: SPACE (if you want to experience an intense space ride!! note: it is very very intense!) and Test Track! Also in Epcot, you have the chance to meet all the Disney princesses and Mickey, Minnie and friends!!

Now on to Magic Kingdom!

One of the must do's here is the firework show at the end of the day. If you miss this, you will definitely regret it - it was amazing! Magic Kingdom is really a park for the whole family, it has a mix of children and adult rides.

During our time in Florida we did take some time out from the parks and we headed over to Gatorland! During our day trip to Gatorland, I held a baby gator and had a snake round my neck! (check out my insta for that pic!)

Now one of my favourite parks was Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! We decided to allocate one day for Universal and one day for Islands of Adventure and then another day to go back to the parks and do what we missed out on.

Universal tip - The Hogwarts Express is a ride/transportation between the parks. So if you did want to park hop and go to both parks, just hop on to the Hogwarts Express. It's the easiest way, however to go on this you do need to buy tickets to both parks. If you're deciding to go on this, I would suggest going from Islands of Adventures to Universal (instead of queuing up at universal and then going to islands of adventure) as the queue time is less on the Islands of Adventure side.

Best rides at Universal were (in no particular order): Harry Potter & the escape from Gringotts, Revenge of the Mummy, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Simpsons Ride, Transformers and Despicable Me! (soooo basically all of them!)

Best rides at Islands of Adventure: Incredible Hulk, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Jurassic Park River Adventure and Skull Island: Reign of Kong

Now here's what you guys came for .... the pictures! (btw i'm not a professional and I didn't edit anything!)

The woman smiled for my pic - was not planned!! haha

The Simpsons ride was so so good!

And so my post comes to an end! Hope you enjoyed it :) If you have any questions or feedback for me just email, or find me on my social media's (amritaatwalx).
