Durdle Door
 A dream come true!

Hi again! Hope you're all well :)

For today's post I'm partnering up with London Psychology Centre, to let you know more about them and the services they provide. They are based in the UK and Pakistan and developed because of the huge unmet demands of appropriate mental health provisions for people in Pakistan. It has been estimated that 90% of people with mental health issues are not able to access adequate services.

In the last 50 years, people in Pakistan have started to become more aware of mental health issues which has resulted in academic institutes providing training to Clinical Psychologists. The London Psychology Centre is affiliated with the University of Management and Technology, Sialkot and supports the training of Clinical Psychologists.

The week commencing 14th May is Mental Health Awareness Week and in aid of this I want to be a part of the community that spreads awareness and helps eliminate the stigma that surrounds mental health. I will be posting blog posts on numerous topics throughout the week and creating awareness of certain topics on all my social media accounts (Twitter, Insta & Facebook). One reason why I want to do this, is because I have SO much passion for helping others and one way I can do that is to use social media in positive way, as a platform to create awareness and help others.

My first blog post will be tied in with this years theme of Stress: Are We Coping?

I can say for sure that we all encounter stress in our lives, whether it be stress at work, family, school, uni etc. Stress can be positive as it helps keep us alert and helps us perform better in certain situations, however excessive or prolonged stress can contribute to illnesses such as heart disease or mental health problems. Research has shown that two thirds of us experience a mental health problem in our lifetimes, and stress is a key factor.

Hello! Long time since I last posted - I apologise. Hope you enjoy :)

For me, 2018 will be a year of stepping out of my comfort zone and just writing that scares me. What happens when we don't step out of our comfort zones is that life gets comfortable, and yes that's great but you don't challenge yourself and life gets boring. When things get scary, don't run away. Run straight for it with determination.

You can.

This is one of my daily affirmations - I remind myself everyday that I can do this. Whatever it is, you can do it. You just have to keep reminding yourself that whatever you put mind to, you have the ability to do it. You need self-belief, confidence and trust in yourself that you can make your goals come true. Even if you don't have the belief that you can (because sometimes I doubt myself), fake it till you make it!
